Job description

Restaurant Manager 

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations across our multiple dining venues, including Armory Lounge, Eighteen95, Room Service, Ironside Bar & Lounge, and Garden Café.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence and financial performance. The Restaurant Manager oversees front-of-house operations, leads and develops a team of 10–15 associates, and collaborates closely with culinary and hotel leadership to ensure outstanding service across all outlets.

What You'll Do
  • Lead daily outlet operations while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house team members.
  • Create weekly schedules and support staffing needs.
  • Oversee beverage ordering, inventory, and cost controls.
  • Support banquet operations and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed.
  • Partner with leadership on promotions, marketing initiatives, and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor and lead by example.
  • Support a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and work-life balance.
Schedule
  • Primarily outlet-focused leadership position.
  • Regular weekend coverage, typically including Saturday mornings and Sunday mid-shifts and up to two closing shifts per week as business needs require.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of food & beverage management experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-outlet operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Silverware and OpenTable.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
  • Base salary starting at $55,000 annually.
  • Quarterly incentive program based on Food & Beverage revenue performance.
  • Banquet gratuity participation, providing additional monthly earnings for banquet oversight responsibilities.
  • Total annual earnings typically range from $75,000+, including incentives and banquet gratuities, not including eligibility for seasonal bonus programs.
