Standard Job Description WHAT WE'RE DOING SPY-7 Is the Backbone of Multiple Defense Systems on Land, Air & Sea. The World's Most Powerful and Versatile Radar. Keeping You Safe at Home and Abroad.

SPY-7 radar is the most advanced technology that will provide the capability to make warfighter decisions - accurately and quickly. SPY-7 has the ability to detect, track and engage sophisticated ballistic missile and advanced air threats. It engages multiple targets simultaneously with proven interceptors.

WHO WE ARE Lockheed Martin: An Award-Winning Place to Work WHO YOU ARE Opportunity to support Ashore BMD Mission working side-by-side with the USN, be a key contributor to site operations and maintenance, and represent Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) in the field. Technician will be part of an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Team as a Combat System (CS) Maintainer providing critical mission readiness support. Location is at the Ashore Missile Defense Site located in Deveselu, Romania.

This position is for a SPY Radar Transmitter Technician (SME) and candidate must have previous radar experience. Position will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, unscheduled corrective maintenance, system monitoring, and may install approved equipment modifications depending on the complexity for the SPY Radar system. Technical support also includes evaluations, assessments, equipment functional checks, assistance on communications systems, troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair, part installation, operation, and maintenance for installed systems and equipment including peripheral, interfaced and support systems.

Scope also includes providing equipment/system check-out and verification recommendations/support to active duty personnel, training in equipment operation, meeting/presentation/briefing support, interacting with customers, SMEs, managers and senior leadership. Also, Familiarity with ORTS to aid in system monitoring and trouble shooting. CS Maintainers will provide overall technical support for the Weapon System equipment.

All CS Maintainers must be able to align, operate (in a maintenance capacity only), and shut down Combat Systems and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment under their cognizance in accordance with Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) for those systems supported by CSOSS and/or relevant technical manual and preventive maintenance procedures. All maintenance and system alignments will be coordinated with the CSOOW. This position requires long-term relocation to Romania.

Work schedule is typically a standard work week but requires a willingness and availability to support a 7 day, 24 hour shift effort, as required, for mission critical troubleshooting or operations. Standard Job Description: Provides a level of postsales support and service to customer sites and remote sites at a high-tech level that cannot be rendered by the basic level of field hardware and systems software service. Employee is usually introduced to the customer site when the nature of equipment service required is beyond the skill level possessed by the basic field/customer service engineer.

Basic Qualifications -Aegis SPY Radar or equivalent experience required -Process Improvement and Affordability experience -Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking. -Process improvement and problem-solving experience. -Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and develop productive working relationships.

-Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. Desired Skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Multi-Mission Signal Processor (MMSP) familiarity, basic understanding. -Fire Control System (FCS) experience.

-Strong Interpersonal Skills and demonstrated experience mentoring/building organizational talent -International Expatriate experience -Experience working in classified/access-controlled facilities. -Information Assurance Technician Level II Certification (Network+ and Security+, or equivalents) -Capable of working in a fast paced, demanding environment providing independent thinking, problem resolution and action with minimal direct oversight by senior management.
