Job description

This position is part of our Extended Season, requiring availability from early May through the first week of January 2027. Applicants must be able to commit to working during this entire timeframe.This position is available for those aged 16 -17.Those aged 18+, please apply for the "Roller Coaster Operator Ages 18+" position. Job Description:

Ride Operators are responsible for ensuring the consistent, safe, and efficient operation of their assigned attractions(s) while providing exceptional guest service and keeping all attraction area(s) clean and guest ready.

Responsibilities:
  • Always perform all job responsibilities with safety as top priority.
  • Follow and enforce all park, department and attraction policies and procedures at all times
  • Immediately report any unsafe behaviors or situations.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including proper uniform and grooming.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks to ensure attraction and attraction areas are guest ready.
  • Communicate with guests and other hosts kindly and professionally.
  • Interact with guests in a way that reflects our “Creating Memories Worth Repeating” mission.
  • Complete all required documentation, including daily attraction safety inspections and necessary safety sign-offs.
  • Perform daily attraction safety inspections after allowing guests to ride and after park closing.
  • Screen riders for rider requirements at attraction(s), including assisting with double screening procedures for guests with disabilities when necessary.
  • Verbally communicate and enforce all attraction policies and procedures.
  • Physically and/or visually check attraction restraints after starting any attraction.
  • Operate attraction controls following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Continuously observe attraction while in operation, always keeping eyes on attraction.
  • Monitor the behavior of riders on attraction to ensure all are following attraction policies and procedures.
  • React quickly and calmly during stressful and/or emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 16 years old.
  • Positive attitude.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to be a team player and cooperate with coworkers.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Ability to take action to meet the needs of guest needs within reason and park/company guidelines.

  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Candidates who are a minimum of 18 years old must complete a pre-employment background check.
  • Completion of all required attraction certifications.
  • All Ride Operations hosts must participate in the International Ride Operator · Certification (iROC) course. Successful course completion is required for this position.
