Job description

Position Summary
Valbin Corporation is seeking Role Players to support a potential contract at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.
The Role Players support the USAF Expeditionary Operations School (EOS) Fieldcraft Program by portraying realistic civilian, military, and foreign national personnel during classroom, field, and tactical training exercises. Role Players enhance training realism by accurately depicting a wide variety of characters and operational scenarios, enabling students to develop decision-making, communication, force protection, and cultural awareness skills in expeditionary environments. Personnel safely operate training weapons and equipment, maintain accountability for assigned government property, and perform assigned roles in accordance with approved exercise scenarios and USAF EOS safety requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Portray a wide range of civilian, military, and governmental roles during expeditionary and fieldcraft training exercises, including foreign nationals, merchants, laborers, protesters, rioters, refugees, displaced persons, dignitaries, interpreters, religious leaders, tribal elders, government officials, and simulated casualties.
  • Accurately perform assigned roles in accordance with exercise scripts while adapting to dynamic training scenarios under the direction of Government and contractor leadership.
  • Utilize military weapons, equipment, and other government-furnished training aids as required to support realistic training events.
  • Participate in required weapons handling and operational training for rifles, pistols, blank-firing weapons, and dye-marking cartridge systems.
  • Safely operate, clean, maintain, and return assigned weapons and equipment in accordance with USAF EOS armory standards.
  • Support mounted and dismounted urban and field training exercises, including force-on-force scenarios utilizing blank-firing weapons, dye-marking cartridges (SIM-FX/UTM), or paintball systems.
  • Foreign language speakers may portray partner nation civilians, government officials, interpreters, or other culturally representative personnel when required by the task order.
  • Operate effectively in austere environments with limited infrastructure while maintaining professionalism and supporting realistic, mission-focused training.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, range regulations, and instructions provided by Government instructors and Site Management.
  • Immediately report any incident that could affect eligibility to possess firearms or safely perform assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the operation, maintenance, and safe handling of military assault rifles and small arms.
  • Ability to legally possess firearms in accordance with Title 18 U.S.C. ยง922 and complete DD Form 2760 prior to employment and annually thereafter.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation with no disqualifying factors related to handling weapons, ammunition, or pyrotechnics.
  • Ability to participate in required weapons handling and operational training for rifles, pistols, blank-firing weapons, and dye-marking cartridges.
  • Ability to portray diverse civilian and military roles in realistic operational scenarios while following exercise guidance.
  • Foreign language proficiency, cultural expertise, or prior U.S. military experience may be required for specific task orders.
  • Male and female personnel must be available to support a broad range of mission scenarios.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in austere environments with limited infrastructure and under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely participate in mounted and dismounted training exercises involving blank-firing weapons, dye-marking cartridges (SIM-FX/UTM), or paintball systems while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, run, and perform physically demanding activities over uneven terrain for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely handle assigned weapons, equipment, and training aids while maintaining situational awareness in dynamic training environments.
  • Ability to travel throughout the installation and associated training areas in support of scheduled exercises.
