The Field Concrete Journeyman is responsible for works on water tower construction projects by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Setting forms, tying reinforcing steel, placing concrete, removing forms
  • Layout, erect, dismantle, and load tank jig, scaffolding, and other miscellaneous steel structures
  • Layout, secure, brace, and pin steel plate, including cone, vertical, shell, ring beam, access tube, and other associated steel tank structures and appurtenances
  • Basic surveying and general layout abilities
  • Rigging knowledge
  • Signaling of cranes and other heavy construction equipment
  • Safe operation of construction tools and equipment
  • Grinding, sanding, and polishing
  • Practice safe working habits and proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Arrive at jobsite or departure point on time
  • Attend and participate in crew safety meetings
  • Immediately report all incidents and unsafe site, equipment or rigging conditions to supervisor

Required Qualifications:
