At Rod's Plumbing Service, our plumbers are the face of the company. We've built our reputation in the Fresno area on quality workmanship, honest pricing, and treating customers — and our team — the right way. If you're an experienced service plumber who's tired of being just another truck on the road, we want to meet you.

We're looking for someone who can walk into a home, diagnose the real problem, and deliver a solution the homeowner trusts. In return, we'll back you with steady year-round work, a competitive pay package, a fully stocked company truck, and a team that has each other's back.

Why Rod's Plumbing

  • Company truck provided — no wear and tear on your personal vehicle
  • Steady, year-round residential service work in Fresno and surrounding areas
  • Real advancement opportunities for plumbers who want to grow
  • A culture that respects your time, your craft, and your family

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems — fixtures, water heaters (tank and tankless), piping, drains, and water lines
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners, explain options in plain language, and recommend long-term solutions
  • Install water heaters, fixtures, valves, and related plumbing equipment
  • Identify and recommend additional services or upgrades that genuinely help the customer
  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time on each job
  • Keep your truck clean, organized, and stocked for the day's calls

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of residential plumbing experience required, no exceptions
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication
  • Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own service route
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and working in crawlspaces, attics, and varying conditions

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with tankless and tank water heaters
  • Drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, or sewer experience
  • Knowledge of California plumbing codes
  • Background in residential service sales

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25 – $50/hr + performance-based incentives (uncapped)
  • Company truck, fuel, and tools provided
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Retirement plan with company contribution
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Steady, year-round work — no seasonal slowdowns
  • Ongoing training and clear advancement path
