- Passionate about rock climbing and helping others build confidence and skills.
- Experienced teaching or coaching climbers of varying experience levels.
- Current CPR/AED certification (required).
- Must hold all certifications required to teach rock climbing and safely train, belay, harness, and supervise participants.
- Fitness certification, climbing instructor certification, or a related degree is preferred.
- Insured or willing to obtain professional liability insurance.
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Lead safe, engaging, and inclusive rock climbing sessions for residents.
- Teach proper climbing techniques, safety procedures, equipment use, and climbing etiquette.
- Properly fit, inspect, and secure harnesses and other climbing equipment before each session.
- Ensure all participants are safely supervised and follow established climbing safety protocols.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early to prepare equipment and welcome participants.
- Use our simple digital tools to clock in and track attendance.
- Represent Torch Fitness with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to exceptional resident experiences.
