Job description

The Production Technician is responsible for setting up and changing over of the equipment in the Manufacturing area and assisting in Manufacturing operations by operating equipment as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up before and during each job run.
  • Monitor equipment performance during operation and help maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Follow all procedures and operational guidelines outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Contact maintenance as needed when equipment issues arise during operation.
  • Assist production and packaging teams with basic operations when requested by the shift supervisor or department manager.
  • May operate equipment to cover for associates during breaks or when department is short staffed due call outs / scheduled vacations.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with encapsulation machines, tablet presses, and powder blending equipment preferred
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal).
  • Able to perform repetitive lifting tasks.
  • Flexibility for overtime when needed

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with
