Job description

We are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to lead advances in perception, sensor fusion, and sensor calibration that directly impact the growth and success of our business. As we expand, your role will evolve to meet new challenges and priorities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SLAM development to improve product quality and consistency across diverse operating conditions, including GPS-degraded environments.
  • Enhance sensor fusion and calibration processes by integrating multi-user, multi-session point cloud maps and automating LiDAR and imagery alignment for consistent large-scale scene generation.
  • Drive scalability and reliability by eliminating the need for extrinsic sensor measurements in the field and proactively identifying and correcting data quality issues.
  • Collaborate closely with a mission-driven team of robotics and enterprise software experts to revolutionize fieldwork in the energy sector.
  • Develop and implement perception solutions, focusing on LiDAR, sensor fusion, and SLAM mapping for building accurate environmental maps.


Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in perception and mapping in robotics.
  • Proven background working with mobile platforms such as cars, drones, or robots performing large-scale mapping using LiDAR and other sensors.
  • Hands-on experience with systems integration—understanding how cameras, sensors, vehicles, and perception software work together.
  • Experience with SLAM solutions involving ground-based LiDAR and extensive sensor calibration (intrinsic and extrinsic), including automated data-driven techniques.
  • Proficiency in multimodal sensor fusion and working with ultra-wide-angle cameras.
  • Track record of succeeding on small, fast-moving engineering teams.
