We’re looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible anesthesiologist to join a university-affiliated teaching hospital in metropolitan Phoenix. This facility is a state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and an ABA-verified Burn Center, offering a fast-paced, academically oriented practice with opportunities for faculty appointment.
What the role looks like
- Provide anesthesia care across a broad case mix: labor & delivery, neonatal and general pediatric procedures, general and robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, burn care, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatry, and special procedures outside the OR. Perioperative and critical care TEE experience is utilized.
- Work in a high-volume environment — roughly 11,000 anesthesia encounters per year.
- Participate in teaching and supervision of trainees, including residents (emergency medicine and surgery), CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students.
- Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team caring for high-acuity patients.
Schedule and call
- Full-time clinical position.
- In-house call about 4–5 times per month.
