Job description

Overview
VTG is seeking a mid-level Software Developer to support our customer in College Park, MD. This is a hybrid role.
What will you do?
  • Build and enhance front-end user interfaces using React (including hooks,
    functional components, state management libraries)
  • Implement responsive UI components and follow UI/UX best practices, integrating
    with design systems.
  • Apply modern design patterns and UI frameworks such as React.
  • Develop, test, and deploy code in a Linux/WSL environment.
  • Experience with containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Write automated UI tests utilizing Sikuli, Selenium framework.
  • Collaborate in Agile environment, participate in code reviews

Do you have what it takes?
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have 5+ years of experience
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Typescript, C++, Java
  • Front-End UI Development: Hands-on experience building UI components with
    React
  • API Development: Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs
  • DevSecOps: Working knowledge of Agile, CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps),
    Docker, Kubernetes
  • Testing: Experience with automated testing tools such as Robot, Selenium, and
    Sikuli
  • IDE/Tooling: Comfortable using VSCode
  • Linux/WSL Development: Proficient in developing, building, and debugging
    applications within Linux/WSL Ubuntu 20.04
  • Cloud: Practical experience with AWS Kubernetes
  • Must have and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cosmos or similar mission-planning/analysis tools
  • Experience with real-time or combat systems and associated performance
    constraints
  • Cyber Security

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $110,000-$150,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range
