You will need to embrace challenges, devour knowledge, and love working on meaningful problems. Innovation isn't just a concept; it's about continually improving the customer experience from pre-booking a flight all the way through to a customer's final destination. The interns will receive flight benefits during the assignment.

The Venture & Tech Scouting team plays a key role in developing and executing corporate innovation initiatives that contribute to Delta Air Lines' market leadership and growth. The team identifies and partners with innovative startup solutions to enhance & expand Delta's strategic objectives. You'll have an opportunity to influence direction, selection, and deployment that solve the problems of tomorrow.

Intern responsibilities include :

· Perform high-quality research and summarize information on potential markets

· Develop thesis around strategic areas and conduct market and industry analysis

· Review & validate potential startups aligned to Delta executive needs

· Monitor the venture landscape & foster relationships with the tech community

· Support portfolio companies, the corporate accelerator, and fund of fund investments

· Organize, track, and build out our startup CRM and reports on company engagements

· Conducts due diligence including reviewing financials, pitch decks and core technology

· Meet & Present with Delta leadership and business partners to understand core strategic needs, map out opportunities, connect our partners to the latest solutions

· Crafting and managing startup pilot evaluations by identifying strategic fit and negotiating advantages terms to secure additional upside

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

· Graduate students with a demonstrated interest in technology, startups, and venture capital

· Tech Knowledge: You know the latest trends across AI, Robotics, Sustainability & more

· Self-starter: You can work independently and collaboratively when appropriate

· Curiosity: You are willing to explore topics beyond the surface & know how to dive in deep

· Perspective: You bring your own opinions & viewpoints, but can quickly adjust

· Storytelling: Excellent communication skills and creative thinking

· Flexibility & attention to detail to balance multiple projects and stakeholder needs

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in theUnited States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

· STEM Degree or a technical background

· Strong business fundamentals (financial modeling, etc.) & understanding of private markets

· Prior experience or knowledge of the commercial aviation sector & complexities

· Understanding of strategic business frameworks or previous consulting experience

· Previous experience in venture capital, investment banking, or corporate innovation
