Job description

Role Description
We are looking to recruit an exceptional Robotic System Integration Engineer to work on integrating, testing, and deploying our robotic solutions in the lab and in the field.
In this role you will:
  • Integrate and debug the robot power, actuation, wired/wireless network, and inertial/perception/force/torque/tactile sensing systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve robotic system hardware and software integration issues related to kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, perception, and control.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for full-robot systems and subsystems.
  • Work with suppliers and external partners to integrate third-party components.
  • Deploy field applications, drive integration with customer side systems, and manage system level integration in order to deliver customer success.
    Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Author and maintain documentation for system architecture, integration, and debugging procedures.
  • Contribute to defining integration best practices and improving development workflows.

You will work closely with the Controls, Hardware, and Autonomy teams to ensure seamless integration and optimum performance.
Qualifications
Must-have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation field buses (e.g., EtherCAT, CANOpen) and related debugging tools.
  • Proven expertise in commissioning and fine-tuning actuation systems.
  • Strong proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, test system design, and test implementation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with modern version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub).
  • Self-motivated, proactive problem solver with a proven ability to prioritize and address complex challenges effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a flexible and collaborative approach.

Nice-to-have:
  • Proficiency with tools like ROS2, Docker, and Ubuntu Linux.
  • Experience deploying robotic solutions in production environments.
  • Hands on experience with algorithms for Perception, Motion Planning, Manipulation, or Robot Learning
