Job description

The Electronic Engineer Technician-Regional works with welding equipment. This role utilizes advanced knowledge of Fronius equipment to support the sales process. The Electronic Engineer Technician-Regional is responsible for demonstrating to new and existing customers the value of Fronius products and services. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites, installation sites, and meetings.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Understands Fronius equipment configurations and installation processes
  • Troubleshoots, evaluates, and repairs welding equipment in the field
  • Evaluates the client's needs for upgrades or up-sells of current or new installations
  • Supports the Fronius Sales Representative with creating system configurations to fulfill the customers' needs
  • Works independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations providing product guidance and support and addressing installation and product usability issues of routine to moderate complexity
  • Attends presentations, develops proposals, conducts demonstrations while acting as the technical expert
  • Provides system advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors, and dealers via phone and email communication
  • Performs welding system hardware and software installation and integration at client's location for both manual and robotic equipment
  • Conducts training events for colleagues, distributors, dealers, and end clients with a focus on new and repeat sales
  • Customizes training documents for new and existing clients
  • Participate in trade fairs and provide product and technical guidance and support at regional and national events
  • Leads or supports initiation of modifications/further development of Fronius products
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Associates/ Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university preferred
  • Possess a valid passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport
  • Regular Travel
  • Must be willing and authorized to travel throughout the USA and Europe
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Experience in the field and/or Electrical Technology/Engineering
  • Welding knowledge/experience a plus
  • Robotic knowledge/experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to work independently and/or remotely
  • Candidate must be able to work with a team or alone as the need arises
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability as a team contributor
