Job description

ApolloTech MSI is seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer for a fullโ€‘time position based in Wharton, NJ, with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

The Robotics Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, simulating, verifying, and integrating robotics components into different autonomous platforms. This role involves collaboration with crossโ€‘functional groups on modules that align with system requirements and close coordination with hardware and software development teams to seamlessly integrate these modules into various unmanned platforms. The engineer will provide support and subject matter expertise in disciplines related to the design, development, integration, and testing of unmanned systems.

Target Salary Range $85,000 - $140,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or Ph.D. degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience integrating LiDAR, GPS and MPU5 radios
  • Experience with CREO or similar 3D modeling software
  • Experience integrating Lโ€‘Tracks onto platform or adopting robotic modules to fit on Lโ€‘Tracks or other mounting hardware
  • Familiarity with Electrical/Electronics components
  • Be able to make custom cables for different robotic platforms and modules
  • Familiar with Pixhawk, ArduPilot
  • Prior experience using ATAK plugins is a plus
  • Experience in systemโ€‘level modeling, simulation, and analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python
  • Experience or familiarity with electronic protection techniques
  • Excellent problemโ€‘solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • US Citizenship is required for this role due to security clearance requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
