Job description

Join Amazon's Legal Department as Corporate Counsel supporting our Worldwide Operations and Robotics teams. In this role, you will collaborate with technology teams to provide legal guidance on innovative systems and robotics solutions. The position focuses on supporting product development, commercial agreements, software licensing, and intellectual property matters while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and law, helping shape the future of automation and operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and technology teams to provide legal guidance on product development, system implementation, and robotics initiatives
- Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology, supply chain, licensing, and deployment contracts
- Assess and advise on legal, reputational, and compliance risks related to technical architecture and program design
- Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters and software licensing
- Develop and implement practical solutions to support business objectives while ensuring legal compliance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
- Experience advising on intellectual property matters, including patents, trade secrets, and software licensing
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements, including SaaS, hardware supply, and development agreements
- Experience supporting engineering or product development teams in a fast-paced technology environment
- Experience identifying and assessing legal and regulatory risks related to emerging technologies such as robotics, automation, or AI

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
