Job Description
  • We are seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain high-quality plant models supporting XIL, virtual validation, and system integration activities.
  • This role focuses on building scalable, reusable models across multiple vehicle domains and ensuring alignment with system-level requirements and verification workflows.
  • The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including system design, architecture, controls, and testing organizations to enable efficient virtual development and validation using model-based techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plant Model Development
  • Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems (e.g., propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment).
  • Ensure models meet appropriate fidelity levels depending on development phase (concept, design, integration, validation).
  • Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data.
  • Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.
  • Model-Based Development Support
  • Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.
  • Support virtual testing, requirement validation, and system verification activities.
  • Collaborate with controls and system engineers to ensure alignment between plant models and control strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous integration pipelines for model development and validation.

Requirements / Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments
  • Strong understanding of Model-Based Development (MBD) and virtual testing methods
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools
  • Knowledge of physical system modeling (0D/1D)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods
  • Experience in one scripting language

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive OEM
  • Familiarity with xIL environments (MIL/SIL/HIL)
  • Understanding of automotive V&V processes and standards
