JOB SUMMARY:
The Automation Engineer delivers end-to-end automation solutions by combining business analysis, RPA development, and artificial intelligence to optimize enterprise operations. Using UiPath and AI technologies such as document understanding, OCR, and LLMs, this role designs, develops, and supports secure, scalable automation solutions while partnering with business and IT stakeholders to drive measurable business value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Discover, analyze and document business processes by developing Process Definition Documents (PDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), success criteria and SLAs.
  • Design and implement automation and process improvement solutions that streamline workflows and improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize automation opportunities, evaluate ROI, and support automation governance and Center of Excellence (CoE) standards.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy UiPath Studio automations using REFramework, queues, exception handling, structured logging, and integrations with enterprise applications through APIs, SQL, files, and messaging services.
  • Configure and implement secure deployments in UiPath Orchestrator, including assets, credentials and secrets, scheduling, and role-based security.
  • Develop reusable .NET components and custom activities, publish shared libraries, and ensure code quality through peer reviews and coding standards.
  • Develop AI-enabled automation solutions using UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, OCR, intelligent classification and extraction, LLM-based summarization, prompt orchestration, and human-in-the-loop validation to improve automation coverage and accuracy.
  • Utilize AI to process structured and unstructured datasets, improving automation accuracy, scalability, and business reporting.
  • Evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies, promoting practical adoption across the organization.
  • Manage and configure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate version control, testing, packaging, and deployment of automation solutions.
  • Monitor production automation performance using UiPath Orchestrator and Insights, analyze KPIs and exceptions, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that measure automation performance, operational efficiency, and business value.
  • Perform other related job duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience applying AI within automation solutions, including LLMs and generative AI (prompt engineering, orchestration, extraction, summarization, retrieval patterns, and human-in-the-loop validation), UiPath Document Understanding, OCR, intelligent document classification and data extraction, and Azure OpenAI/Cognitive Services integration.
  • Strong .NET programming skills, primarily C#, including building custom activities, SDK usage, and unit testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Functions, Storage, Key Vault, and App Service; hands-on CI/CD in Azure DevOps and Git branching strategies.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON and XML, and SQL; experience with data transformation and pipeline concepts.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD, secure SDLC, and secrets management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in a high-tech, continually evolving, innovative environment.
  • Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
