Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst.
  • Proven experience leading discovery and requirements definition for application modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
  • 5+ years of Banking and Financial Services experience.
  • Knowledge of deposits, Certificate of Deposit (CD), checking, savings, payments, servicing, or lending processes.
  • Strong experience translating business capabilities into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready requirements.
  • Expertise facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, backlog refinement, and requirements elaboration sessions.
  • Experience working with Product, Business, Operations, Architecture, UX, Development, QA, and UAT teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with legacy application modernization, APIs, middleware integrations, and modern web applications.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, system integrations, and frontend application architectures.
  • Experience supporting UAT, defect management, release readiness, and production deployment.
  • Experience participating in AI, Intelligent Automation, RPA, or Generative AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Product Definition
  • Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and knowledge transfer sessions with Business, Product, Operations, Architecture, UX, and Engineering teams.
  • Analyze legacy applications, business processes, and operational workflows to define modernization strategies.
  • Translate business capabilities, epics, and requirements into implementation-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify functional, technical, integration, security, accessibility, and non-functional requirements.
  • Define MVP scope, release plans, estimates, and product roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization through AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, and RPA technologies.
Product Ownership & Business Analysis
  • Partner with Client Product and Business teams to manage and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, story grooming, and requirements elaboration sessions.
  • Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR) prior to development.
  • Maintain traceability from business objectives through development, testing, deployment, and business acceptance.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, Engineering, QA, and Architecture teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, release planning, and UAT activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
  • Act as the primary liaison between Business, Product, Operations, Architecture, UX, Development, Testing, and Automation teams.
  • Facilitate governance reviews, design workshops, requirements reviews, and solution validation sessions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional decision-making and resolve requirement ambiguities.
  • Support sprint reviews, release planning, UAT execution, deployment readiness, and production rollouts.
  • Provide project status updates, dependency tracking, and risk management support.
Technical & Solution Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of legacy mainframe business functionality and operational processes.
  • Support modernization initiatives involving React micro-frontends, middleware, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects on frontend and integration solution approaches.
  • Analyze REST APIs, middleware integrations, system interfaces, and data flows.
  • Support definition of performance, accessibility, security, usability, and operational requirements.
AI, Automation & Innovation
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, and RPA capabilities within modernization initiatives.
  • Define business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for AI and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify use cases for:

  • Partner with AI architects, automation engineers, and development teams to support solution delivery.

  • Experience modernizing Mainframe or green-screen applications.
  • Experience with React applications, Micro-Frontends, and enterprise design systems.
