SSD Test Engineer (Boise, ID and Longmont, CO)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support hardware bring-up and maintenance for project-specific initiatives, including configuring tools and hardware for team members.
  • Execute test plans, troubleshoot hardware issues, and capture diagnostic data using analyzers and logging tools.
  • Manage lab inventory and coordinate shipping and receiving of hardware components.
  • Collaborate with project teams to facilitate all lab-related activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Deliver assignments on time with high quality, while proactively communicating challenges and risks.
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings and provide regular updates on assigned tasks and progress.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements through automation of recurring lab tasks.
  • Represent the lab team in cross-functional meetings and lead task force initiatives from a lab operations perspective.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing NVMe/PCIe SSD hardware and software setups.
  • Proven ability to build test systems, execute test plans, and summarize results.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive manual test procedures with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently using written instructions.
  • Familiarity with Unix command-line environments; scripting in Shell or Python is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel for data tracking and reporting.
  • Experience assembling, modifying, and reassembling SSD test systems.
  • Prior exposure to SSD lab environments is a strong advantage.
  • Experience automating lab activities and driving efficiency improvements is a plus.
  • Motivated to lead task forces and adopt new technologies quickly.
  • Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to evolving technical environments.
