Overview

i3 is seeking a Systems Integration Technician to support US Air Force RPA training systems as well as other RPA-related development activities. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for creating technical solutions related integration of hardware, software, and networking systems. Knowledge in virtual machines, hosted and bare metal hypervisors is highly desired. Working in this role will include being a member of a highly technical team in a System integration Lab environment to aid in development of new systems or modification of existing systems to meet customer requirements. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities
  • Migrate existing server-based software to a KVM hypervisor platform, ensuring seamless transition to the virtualized environment.
  • Develop and deploy custom scripts to automate virtual machine provisioning, network configurations, and network storage arrays.
  • Implement and manage active directory and domain services.
  • Configure and manage physical and virtual networks.
  • Install and configure iterative software builds on existing system architecture in support of engineering, development, or production releases.
  • Define, document, analyze, build, and execute technical solutions needed to integrate physical and virtual system components.
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Works cross-functional efforts with integration, engineering, test and development teams.
  • Plan and conduct project related tasks under general supervision, review progress, evaluate results, and adjust methods as needed to obtain desired results.
  • Recommend changes in existing procedures, aids in the development of new operating procedures, field manuals and user guides.
  • Provide technical support and advice to the production and sustainment activities supporting customer sites.
  • Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions, must be motivated to work independently or as a member of a larger team when required. Reviews project progress with management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required. BS degree preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience managing Linux KVM hypervisor hosted virtual machines preferred.
  • Virtual and physical networking experience.
  • Experience with windows and RedHat Linux administration.
  • Experience with Ansible (preferred) or similar automation platforms, including developing automation workflows, managing configurations, and troubleshooting execution issues.
  • Security+ and/or Net+ certifications required.
  • Experience with creating technical documentation on new technical solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, adapting to changing customer needs and requirements.
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with GitLab (preferred) or similar version control and CI/CD platforms.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position.
