Maintenance Technician
Monroe, GA
Compensation Includes
  • Starting Pay Rate of $24 - $30/hour - depending on experience
    • $2/hour shift differential for night shift
    • Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours

  • D Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am, Friday - Sunday
Overview
The Maintenance Technician performs work requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in high-speed manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair bag machinery and support equipment
  • Report machine defects that cannot be corrected to the Maintenance Manager
  • Assist fellow mechanics and production employees as needed
  • Work overtime when required to restore equipment and support production
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC circuits
  • Troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, motors, sensors, encoders, relays, and safety circuits
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce downtime
  • Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers
  • Support equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders using CMMS software
  • Follow OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
Qualifications
  • 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting of 480VAC and 24VDC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Experience troubleshooting VFDs, servos, single-phase and three-phase motors
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI systems
  • Replace and rebuild pumps; repair hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, sensors, robotics, and communication networks preferred
