Job description

Pine Lake Corn Processors (PLCP) located in Central Iowa, is currently recruiting for a position in Operations Support.ย  PLCP is a subsidiary of Innovative Ag Services, Co.ย  This fulltime position will be located at the Pine Lake facility.

ย Primary Objective:ย  The loading of ETOH rail cars, DDGS cars and trucks as well as ground maintenance and various support tasks.ย  Obtaining a Conductor/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad for the movement of rail cars to and from the Ackley siding.

Major Accountabilities:

ย The following duties are typical for this job.ย  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.

  • Operate, clean and maintain equipment.
  • Loading of ETOH and DDGS rail cars.
  • Operating yard engine for moving/spotting rail cars within the Pine Lake Corn Processors industry siding.
  • Operate skid loader, telehandler, forklift, wheel loaders, lawnmowers, weed trimmers and man lifts for material handling, snow removal, road sweeping, loading of DDGS, building cleaning, ground maintenance, etc.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly facility inspections.
  • Assist with the cleaning of grain bins and other areas of the facility.
  • Assist Operations during maintenance shutdowns, power outages and other circumstances that prohibit optimal plant operation.
  • Participate in safety and job-related training programs.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and conduct.
  • Create a positive, professional image to customers and community.
  • Accept and carry out other assigned duties as given by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

ยทย ย ย  Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.

ยทย ย ย  Complete FRA training to obtain Conductors/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad

ยทย ย ย  Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in written or oral form.

ยทย ย ย  Ability to organize, deal with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.

ยทย ย ย  Possess math skills when performing basic operations.

ยทย ย ย  Must be able to work safely in difficult environments, IE: catwalks and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:

ยทย ย ย  Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds.ย  Also, flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.ย ย  Also, trunk strength and ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time.ย  Some tasks involve repetitive motion.

ยทย ย ย  Agricultural Environment โ€“ Exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.

ยทย ย ย  Personal Protective Equipment may be required for some tasks.
