What is a ROA?

ROA, or Return on Assets, is a financial metric used to measure how efficiently a company uses its assets to generate profit. It is calculated by dividing a company's net income by its total assets, indicating how effectively management is using its assets to create earnings. A higher ROA means the company is more efficient at converting its investments into net income. This metric is especially important for comparing companies within the same industry. Investors often use ROA to assess and compare the profitability of businesses.
