Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Clearwater, FL

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool team. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple acute care facilities while supporting positive clinical outcomes and maintaining professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process and established clinical standards
  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and respond to changes in status
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Adapt to various clinical environments and support staffing needs across multiple facilities
  • Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of two years of recent Registered Nurse experience in an acute Med Surg/Telemetry setting
  • Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient care environments
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to float between assigned facilities as needed
