Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Mother/Baby RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of acute MB experience and NRP-Advanced certification.
Job Details
• Work in the busiest delivery center in KY, a 59-bed Mom/Baby unit,
• Patient ratio of 6-8:1 caring for postpartum moms and infants,
• No telemetry or titration required on this unit,
• Common medications administered include pain meds, stool softeners, Rhogam, and pitocin,
• Uses scales and TCI meters as unit equipment,
• Performs IVs, blood draws, PCA management, and wound vac care,
• Uses Epic EMR system,
• Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, three 12-hour shifts per week,
• Every other weekend required,
Job Requirements
• Active KY or Compact RN license required,
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP-Advanced, and STABLE,
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Mother/Baby RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,

• Provide safe, effective, patient and family centered care with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality outcomes,
• Perform assessments and reassessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care,
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support care needs,
• Monitor and document patient response to clinical interventions,
• Provide patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and function as a mentor/preceptor,
• Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
