Part-Time,3rd Shift

BHCOR-Trillium Center Admin I Corbin, KY

The Behavioral Health Intake Departmentis located inthe ED but staffed with Behavioral Health Nurses. The Intake Department assesses all patients that present forpossible admissionto one of the Behavioral Health units. The Intake nurses are competent in psychiatric assessment skills and work closely with the Psychiatrist todeterminedisposition for each patient.

Performscarerequiressubstantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological,physicaland social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.

Description:

  • Provides safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.

  • Monitors patient conditions, administers treatments and physician orders, and documents patient care accurately.

  • Educates patients and familiesregardingtreatment plans, procedures, and discharge needs.

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and teamwork in daily nursingpractice.

  • Maintains compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, licensure, and continuing education standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursingrequired

  • Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permitrequired

  • Associate degreerequired; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • No experiencerequired; patient care experience preferred

Certifications/Training

  • BLS through the American Heart Associationrequiredwithin30 daysof hire

Additionalrequired training within30 daysmay include:
