American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Trauma Neuro ICU RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma center requiring at least 1 year of relevant ICU experience.

Details
  • Neuro Trauma Surgical ICU setting within a Level 1 Trauma center, Stroke Center of Excellence, Transplant Center, and Burn Center
  • Standard patient ratio of 2:1
  • Patient population includes MVC, gunshot wounds, stabbings, falls, CVA, craniotomy, aneurysm rupture, EVD, and lumbar drains
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • Holiday coverage based on unit need
  • Uses Sunrise charting system
Requirements
  • Active RN license (IN or compact) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
  • Provide critical care nursing to complex trauma and neurosurgical patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Longer contract lengths of 13-16 weeks approved for September starts
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered
