Rn Injector information

What is an RN Injector?

RN Injectors are registered nurses who are specially trained to administer injectable cosmetic treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, and other aesthetic procedures. They work in medical spas, dermatology offices, plastic surgery clinics, or similar healthcare settings. Their role involves assessing patients, discussing treatment goals, performing injections, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. RN Injectors must have strong knowledge of facial anatomy, proper injection techniques, and adherence to safety protocols. Typically, they are also required to maintain appropriate certifications and stay updated on the latest cosmetic procedures.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an RN Injector?

To thrive as an RN Injector, you need a valid RN license, a strong understanding of facial anatomy, and experience or certification in aesthetic procedures such as Botox and dermal fillers. Familiarity with medical devices, injection techniques, and electronic health record systems is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient education help build trust and deliver optimal outcomes. These competencies ensure safe, effective treatments and contribute to patient satisfaction in a highly specialized medical aesthetics environment.

What are some common challenges RN Injectors face when starting out in aesthetic nursing?

RN Injectors often encounter challenges such as mastering various injection techniques, building patient trust, and staying updated on the latest products and safety protocols. New injectors may also find it difficult to establish a client base and effectively communicate realistic treatment outcomes. Support from experienced colleagues and ongoing training can help overcome these hurdles, leading to greater confidence and competence in the role.

Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) — IV Therapy & Medical Aesthetics
BodyWorks — The Human Body Shop | Alpharetta, GA

BodyWorks — The Human Body Shop is looking for a motivated RN to join our growing medical aesthetics and wellness team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse with IV/infusion experience who wants to break into the medical aesthetics field. No aesthetics experience required — we'll train the right candidate from the ground up, including paid injector certification.

About Us
BodyWorks is a premier medical aesthetics and functional wellness practice offering IV nutrition therapy (L(IV)E Lounge), GLP-1/weight loss programs, body contouring, lymphatic drainage, peptide therapy, and facial aesthetics. We're building something special in Alpharetta and looking for team members who want to grow with us.

Schedule

  • Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Hours and days are subject to change as our service offerings and patient volume grow
  • This role has the potential to move to full-time within approximately 6 months as our aesthetics offerings expand

What You'll Do

  • Administer IV nutrition therapy and hydration drips
  • Perform mechanically assisted lymphatic drainage therapy (training provided)
  • Administer patient injections (weight loss, peptides, aesthetics)
  • Conduct patient intakes and health assessments
  • Provide patient follow-up care and monitoring
  • Assist with practice compliance — credentialing documentation, protocol sign-offs, and adherence to Medical Director-approved standing orders
  • Support a growing menu of aesthetic services as you train

What We're Looking For

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • IV/infusion nursing experience required
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • A genuine interest in growing into medical aesthetics — this is a must
  • Someone who practices what they preach — self-care, wellness, and beauty aren't just services we offer, they're values we live by

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay, with increases tied to certifications acquired
  • Paid training and certification in:
    • Injectables (Botox, filler, etc.)
    • Microneedling
    • Additional aesthetic modalities as you grow
  • Employee perks: free or heavily discounted (at-cost) access to BodyWorks services — IV therapy, lymphatic drainage, facial treatments, and more
  • Room to grow within an expanding practice, including a path to full-time employment
  • Supportive team environment with hands-on mentorship

We believe in walking the walk — our team lives the same self-care and wellness lifestyle we help our clients achieve. If that resonates with you, you'll fit right in.

If you're an RN who's ready to take your career beyond the bedside and into the exciting world of medical aesthetics, we want to hear from you.
