These nurses assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies. Their responsibilities include preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, administering sedation, and providing post-procedure care and education. Working daytime shifts, they often collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the endoscopic process.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as an RN Endoscopy FT Days?

To thrive as an RN Endoscopy, you need a valid RN license, a strong background in gastrointestinal nursing, and experience in patient assessment and procedural care. Familiarity with endoscopic equipment, sedation protocols, and electronic health records (EHR) systems is typically required, with certifications like BLS and ACLS preferred.
