Job description

Level 3 RN – ED Observation / G16 Float (Contract) – New York 14642

  • Pay: $2,108 – $2,365 per week

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

  • Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights (Rotating)

  • Additional: On-call, callback, charge, weekends, and holidays as needed

Unit Overview:

  • Fast-paced Observation Unit for adult patients

  • 20–27 patient turnover daily; average stay ~27 hours

  • 24/7 provider coverage

  • Cares for both observation and admitted boarding patients

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for adult patients requiring short-term observation or admission

  • Perform telemetry monitoring and patient assessments

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a high-acuity setting

  • Support patient flow, admissions, and discharges

Requirements:

  • Active NY RN License required

  • Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience required

  • Telemetry experience required

Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only) required

  • ACLS (AHA only) required

  • NIHSS preferred
