Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Assistant is trained to perform approved clinical and non-clinical tasks and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a Medical Provider, LPN or RN, Assist Clinical Team in providing patient care per St. John's Medical, PC policy and procedure as appropriate to the ages of the patients served and the area of-clinical practice. Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu by fostering an awareness of the clinical patient population.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Current certification from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program
Some college preferred - medical, business or health-care focus.
Experience: 5 years minimum of medical office or health-care facility experience preferred
Computer experience required- Microsoft office, EMRCPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding.
Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
