Position Summary
The Housekeeping Crew is an on-call, per-event employee who is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Flint River Entertainment Complex venues by performing various cleaning duties within the seating area, concourse, restrooms, and locker rooms for various events.
This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 - $12.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until November 20, 2026.
About the Venue
Flint River Entertainment Complex is owned by the City of Albany and is operated by OVG. Located in Albany, Ga., Flint River Entertainment Complex is comprised of three venues: the Albany Civic Center, Albany Municipal Auditorium, and Veterans Park Amphitheatre. Hosting live spectator events, banquets, meetings, trade shows, conferences, concerts, and more, Flint River Entertainment Complex prides itself on bringing quality entertainment to southwest Georgia.
Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers.
  • Use and maintain assigned equipment and hand tools.
  • Follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
  • Works effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience with housekeeping or maintenance at an auditorium or theater is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Must be a team player and perform tasks as assigned by supervisors.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend on a continuous basis.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are generally evening/overnight and could range from 4 hours to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to work in a manner that is safe and effective.
