Job Duties
  • Assess patients across age groups using variety of standardized assessments and personalized observation strategies.
  • Design individualized treatment plans focused on immediate and long-term goals pertaining to communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Deliver side-by-side therapy aimed at improving communication abilities, fluency, voice, and overall swallowing function.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams - including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families - to build integrated care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and their families to enhance therapy outcomes outside of our sessions.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring seamless transitions throughout recovery journeys.
  • Keep precise documentation in accordance with the latest state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and peer sharing.
Education Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.
Required Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
