The objective of the US Consumer Services Governance and Change Management team is to establish the Operational Risk and Controls strategy for US Consumer Services, set up a foundational governance structure that ensures operational risks are identified, assessed, and managed in compliance with enterprise Operational Risk Management programs and reporting.
This individual will be responsible for driving business unit-level risk management practices that align with enterprise strategy and governance. The individual will lead the execution of the business unit risk appetite framework and support risk identification and assessment processes. This role will also lead governance of change management initiatives to ensure risks associated with major transformations, new products, or system changes are effectively managed.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and facilitation skills with an ability to partner cross-functionally, serving as a trusted advisor to business leadership and a connector between risk, operations, and change governance.

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, internal audit, or governance roles.
  • Proven experience designing or implementing risk frameworks, particularly within large or regulated organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management governance, including assessing change-related risks, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with risk policies.
  • Experience facilitating risk assessments, workshops, and governance forums at the management or senior leadership level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and change management risk governance principles.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; capable of translating data and trends into actionable risk insights. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite 
  • Experience with leveraging AI tools to increase productivity 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • High level of business acumen, sound judgment, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of commercial payments industry & economics advantageous

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution and collation of change risk assessment processes, including evaluation of potential risks within the scope of the BU risk appetite.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative inputs to articulate a risk-informed perspective on matters that could materially affect the operational risk profile, governance or regulatory position of the business units. 
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter experts across first and second line of defense, and business leadership to embed risk appetite into planning and decision-making.
  • Lead Enterprise Risk Programs including but not limited to Enterprise Risk Identification & Assessment (ERIA), Key Strategic Initiatives (KSIs) for the business unit. 
  • Create presentations and materials which are concise and clear for communication with senior leadership and multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support internal and external exam fieldwork and regulatory meeting agendas.
