Job description

The Property & Casualty Service Apprentice is an entry-level opportunity to launch a meaningful career in commercial insurance with IMA. In this role, you will support Account Management teams while gaining hands-on experience with client service, agency systems, and industry fundamentals. This apprenticeship is designed to help you grow through real-world experience, structured learning, and required coursework and training that support your long-term development and success.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to:
  • Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, scanning, filing, and distribution.
  • Assist with processing policies, endorsements, audits, certificates, and related service documents using SOPs.
  • Gather, organize, and enter client, policy, exposure, and carrier information with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Retrieve carrier documents, including endorsements, loss runs, and other standard service materials.
  • Support renewal preparation by organizing files, updating trackers, and helping deliver standard materials.
  • Help route and document claims, risk control, and service-related items, escalating issues as needed.
  • Review documents for completeness and flag missing information, discrepancies, or non-routine issues.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, carriers, and clients on routine service matters within scope.
  • Prepare meeting materials, capture action items, and follow up on assigned tasks.
  • Participate in required coursework, apprenticeship training, and assigned learning activities.
  • Maintain progress toward apprenticeship milestones, training completion, and program licensing expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Property & Casualty licensing is not required at entry; however, candidates must be willing to complete required coursework, training, licensing activity, and apprenticeship milestones.
