OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Maintenance Technician III with advanced experience supporting metal fabrication and CNC production equipment, specifically laser cutting systems, CNC punching machines, and press brake machines.   


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC lasers, CNC punching machines, and press brakes
  • Diagnosing complex issues across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Minimizing downtime through root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, PLC logic (basic), and technical manuals
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, and optimization of fabrication equipment
  • Serving as a senior technical resource on the production floor

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining metal fabrication equipment, including:
  1. Press Brakes
  2. CNC Laser Machines
  3. CNC Turret Press Equipment
  4. Combo Machines (laser/punch)
  • Experience working with leading fabrication equipment brands such as:
  1. TRUMPF
  2. Amada
  3. Toyokoki
  4. Diamond
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment issues independently, including root cause analysis
  • Experience performing:
  1. Preventive maintenance (PMs)
  2. Diagnostics and troubleshooting
    Emergency/breakdown repairs on production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  1. Electrical schematics
  2. Blueprints
  3. Maintenance manuals and technical documentation
  • Proficiency using:
  1. Diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
  2. Hand tools and power tools
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills for CMMS/maintenance tracking systems and documentation

EDUCATION

  • Associate/Technical degree in related field preferred

  • M-F   First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30PM  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
