Mechanic Technician - Menomonie, WI*
Shifts: Structured rotating schedule: primarily day shift, with periodic afternoon and night shift rotations
Starting Pay:
  • $37.53 to $39.05 per hour, depending on experience
  • $2.00 per hour differential for night shift and double time pay on Sunday
  • Pay increases throughout the two years as you learn new tasks and take on more responsibility.

What You Bring
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Two (2) year associates degree OR be within 6 months of obtaining an associate's degree in a mechanical maintenance or electro-mechanic field including Mechatronics Specialist and Automation Engineering

OR
  • One-year technical diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in mechanical maintenance field AND two (2) or more years of experience in maintenance field

OR
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED (completed before the start date) AND five (5) or more years of experience in maintenance/mechanic field
  • Reliable transportation to Menomonie, WI (54751), or relocation before starting
  • Completion of a job-related readiness assessment

Other Helpful Experience You May Have
  • Experience with manufacturing and/or manufacturing technology on web process equipment
  • Experience with welding fabrication and machine tool technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse audience
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented work style
