Position Summary

As a Communications Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support communications systems used across active energy and industrial job sites. You'll work with technologies including Starlink, LTE networks, cameras, wireless communications equipment, routers, switches, and remote monitoring systems.


This role is based in the Bellaire / St. Clairsville, Ohio area, supporting operations throughout Eastern Ohio and surrounding districts. You'll travel to job sites, assist with field deployments, support rig moves when operations require it, and occasionally travel to other districts with company-paid per diem and lodging.

What You'll Do

You will:

  • Prioritize safety and follow all company and client safety requirements
  • Install, deploy, test, and support communications equipment at active job sites
  • Assist with Starlink, LTE, internet, wireless networking, and remote monitoring deployments
  • Support rig-ups, rig-downs, equipment relocations, and field communications projects
  • Assist with rig moves and field operations as business needs require
  • Troubleshoot basic communications, networking, and connectivity issues
  • Install and support cameras, monitoring systems, routers, access points, and communications hardware
  • Configure and support networking devices and communications equipment
  • Assist with communications tower and signal booster installation projects
  • Monitor equipment status through cloud-based management portals
  • Complete work orders, service tickets, inventory reports, and field documentation
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and field leadership teams
  • Travel to locations throughout Ohio and occasionally to other EnerStar districts when operational support is required

Travel Requirements

This position requires regular travel throughout Eastern Ohio and neighboring operating areas.
