Job description

We are hiring a Drilling Forman to join our client location in Winder, GA.

Set the pace for blast hole, construction, and solar foundation drilling across the country. As Driller/Foreman, you'll run the rig, lead the crew, and own the results on projects that power communities — from quarries to utility-scale solar arrays.

  • Run drilling operations to production targets — consistently hitting daily footage and hole-count goals while meeting depth, angle, and spacing specs on blast patterns and solar pile layouts.
  • Lead a 2–4 person crew in the field, setting the daily plan, coaching drill helpers, and building operators who can eventually run their own rig.
  • Maintain a zero-recordable-incident record by enforcing MSHA/OSHA standards, running daily toolbox talks, and completing pre-shift equipment inspections without exception.
  • Keep rigs turning: perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic, air, and drill-string issues in the field, and cut unplanned downtime through proactive care.
  • Serve as the on-site face of Hardrock — communicating daily with site superintendents and clients to resolve issues fast and earn repeat business.
  • Deliver accurate daily drill logs, production reports, and time records so billing and planning stay tight.
  • Mobilize efficiently between projects, managing rig transport, setup, and teardown to minimize lost production days.

We are looking for a Forman with:
  • 3+ years operating rotary or DTH blast hole drills (or comparable foundation/geotechnical rigs), with proven production numbers.
  • Crew leadership experience — you've run a shift, held people accountable, and kept everyone safe.
  • Working mechanical knowledge: hydraulics, compressors, drill strings, and daily rig maintenance.
  • MSHA Part 46/48 certification (or ability to obtain quickly); clean safety record.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL Class A strongly preferred for rig mobilization.
  • Willingness to travel and grind through variable field conditions — heat, cold, mud, and long days.
  • Work directly with owner-operators who've done your job — your input shapes how we run.
  • Growing company in a booming market: renewable energy drilling is expanding fast, and so are we.
  • Variety that keeps it interesting — mining, construction, and solar work, not the same pit every day.
  • Real advancement: as we add rigs, we promote from within. Foremen become superintendents.

If you can drill straight, lead a crew, and take pride in your work, we want to talk. Apply today.
