Product Manager - Desktop & Web (f/m/d) - Remote in Germany

Synera GmbH

Boston, MA โ€ข On-site, Remote

Full-time

Posted 27 days ago

Job description

Our mission at Synera is to redefine how engineers work - making automation and AI co-workers a natural part of product development. As a Product Manager, you'll shape how next-generation engineering teams design, automate, and collaborate. You won't just build software, you'll help build the future of how software builds hardware.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
At Synera, we build empowered product teams: cross-functional groups of Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and AI Experts who own outcomes, not outputs. We don't run a feature factory. We trust our teams to discover the most impactful problems and deliver solutions that customers love and the business values.
As a discovery-led Product Manager, you'll collaborate closely with UX, Engineering, and AI to shape customer outcomes - not just ship features. You'll regularly engage with leading customers such as BMW, NASA, and Miele to uncover their needs and pain points, guiding our R&D efforts to create products that truly make a difference.
You'll join Bohdan, Dima, Fabian, Rieke, Salar, Sven and Thorsten - together known as the Chaotic Chimeras - a cross-functional product team pioneering how engineers build products for the future. They are the minds behind Synera Run, our web-based execution platform, that is unified with our low-code desktop editor and customer portal to craft one seamless, powerful experience.
By joining us, you'll help turn our bold product vision into repeatable customer value, shaping the future of engineering with Synera.
Your main focus areas:
  • You lead discovery and validation by engaging with internal stakeholders (e.g. Customer Success, Sales) and directly with customers to uncover user needs and pain points.
  • You collaborate with the Chimeras - our development team of product, design, and engineering experts - to translate insights into impactful product decisions.
  • You join the usual rituals such as daily standups, review meetings and retros. You clarify scope and customer value during the implementation.
  • You frame hypotheses and define measurable product outcomes, such as streamlining customer onboarding or increasing node adoption.
  • You own a problem space, not a backlog: you deeply understand users, map opportunities, and co-create strategy with design and engineering.
  • You continuously prioritize and refine opportunities with your team, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • You align with leadership on product goals and success metrics (e.g. adoption, retention, conversion) to ensure meaningful, outcome-driven progress.
In 6 months:
  • You have a clear understanding of our platform, customers, and workflows.
  • You independently run at least one end-to-end discovery cycle: identifying user pain points, validating hypotheses, and sharing insights that shape roadmap priorities.
  • You ship one initiative that measurably improves customer experience or activation (e.g. increases activation rate, reduces onboarding time).
In 12 months:
  • You own a core product area and deliver measurable business or user impact (e.g. retention).
  • You establish a healthy, predictable discovery-delivery rhythm with your team: balancing learning, experimentation, and shipping.
  • You are recognized internally as a key voice in product strategy and prioritization, actively shaping discussions on where to invest for customer and business impact.

Here is our team at last year's summer event - join us at the next one!
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
We believe in transparent conversations about compensation from the start. For this role, our planned salary ranges are:
  • Experienced Level: 68.900 - 89.500 EUR annually
  • Advanced Level: 85.100 - 112.900 EUR annually

We determine the level we hire you for based on your experience, the scope of responsibilities you'll take on, and the impact you can drive. While we typically hire within these bands, we're open to some flexibility for candidates who bring exceptional value to the role.
Check out this page to learn how we approach salary, career growth, and creating an environment where everyone can shine.
What we offer beyond salary:
  • You'll have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and help strengthen Synera as a leader in agent-driven engineering.
  • You'll take ownership from day one, driving meaningful outcomes with real impact.
  • Work with exceptional engineers and designers united by a passion for solving real-world problems.
  • Flexible working: you decide when & where to work (as long as you have a residency in Germany).
  • Home office setup support + access to our office in Bremen.
  • Personal development budget of โ‚ฌ2,000 to attend conferences and trainings or buy interesting books to improve in an area of your choice.
  • We don't count your vacation days, as we trust all our team members to decide what's best for them and the company.
  • Prefer two wheels over four? We've got you covered with JobRad.
  • To support your personal and professional well-being, we offer company fitness with Wellpass and mental health platform nilo.
  • Regular team events, virtual coffee breaks, and spontaneous afterworks. We also get together as a whole company for 2-3 day off-sites twice a year!

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.
  • You resonate with Synera's Core Values - they're central to how we work, and we'll explore them together in your first interview.
  • You understand and apply modern techniques of product discovery and delivery, focusing on outcomes, not output.
  • You bring at least 5-8 years' experience working on technology-powered products as a Product Manager or Product Designer, ideally in a start-up or scale-up B2B SaaS environment.
  • You must have an understanding of CAx technology (geometry kernels, different simulation disciplines), you translate technical possibilities into customer value (academic studies or relevant experience).
  • You solve complex problems with sound judgment, balancing constraints and communicating your reasoning clearly through data-informed narratives.
  • You are naturally curious about our domain and new technologies to build deep understanding of customer workflows and market context.

P.S. Synera is a place where everyone can grow. So, however you identify and whatever background you bring with you, please apply if this is a role that would make you excited to come to work every day, and be prepared to share with us how your perspective will bring something unique and valuable to our Chimeras team.
