The Ride Operations Senior Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the Rides Hosts working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports park leadership with efficient operation of the department, which provides a positive guest experience.

Adventureland Park - Senior Rides Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

    Supervisory Duties:

    • Supervise the daily operations of thepark operationsteamand any other assigned departments

    • Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation ofAdventureland'score values

    • Inspire ride operators by creating a positive and energetic atmosphere where safety and guest satisfaction are top priorities

    • Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assignedHosts

    • Ensure compliance withcompany and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.

    • Becomeknowledgeable ofperforming the essential duties of allassignedparkoperations positions and backfill these positions when needed

    • Participate in all aspects of supervision of assignedhosts, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.

    • Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being givenin accordance withIowalaw

    • Assistwith team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesalong with daily position assignments

    Departmental Duties:

    • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of park attractions and safety procedures,assistingoroperatingrides andmaintaininga safe aquatic environment when necessary.

    • Listen to guest feedback and complaints, communicating them to the respective department managers.

    • Provide coverage forHosts' breaks and monitor communication channels for additional assistance.

    • Provide direct support toHosts by conducting rounds throughout the park to address their needs.

    • Enforce Park policies, restrictions, and recommendations to ensure guest safety.

    • Remain calm and composed during emergency situations, exuding professionalism while adhering to all standard operating procedures.

    • Maintain constant vigilance to proactivelyidentifypotentialhazards and informs park leadership of any concerns

    • Protect guest belongings,handle lost and found items, and cooperate withother departments to enhance the guest experience.

    • Promptly notify security or park operators of any injuries or emergencies.

    • Conduct audits ofHosts to ensure safe operations and fulfilladditionalduties as assigned.

    • All other duties assigned byleadership

    Education and Experience:

    • No education requirements for thisposition

    • 2-3years ofpreviouswork experience in the Ridesor Aquatics departmentsisrequired.Previousride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Parkemployers will also be considered.

    • 2+ years ofprevioussupervisory experience preferred

    • All RidesHosts must go through the International Ride Operator Certification course asa partof the training. Successful course completion isrequiredfor this position. There is no costtotheHostfor the course.

    Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanishor other bilingual language skills are a plus.

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age tocomply withIowaChild Labor Laws

    • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, andholidays, open to close

    • Musthave reliabletransportation to and from your scheduled shift

    • Mustpossessa valid driver's license anda good drivingrecord

    • Ability tocomply withall uniform policies

    • Mustpossessexceptional customer service skills, withan ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

    • Mustpossessa safety-oriented mindset and be fully committed to enforcing all DOSH, IROC, and all other regulations, policies, and procedures

    • Ability to inspire, motivate, and successfully leada large number ofHosts

    • Must be able to speak withguests directly when other operations leadership is not available

    • Ability tohandlehigh-pressure situations, meet the demands of constantdeadlinesand coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

    • Mustpossessstrong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday

    • Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer

    • Ability tofrequentlystoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reachabove shoulders

    • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, andhold objects weighing 30 pounds or more

    • Ability to climb or descend stairs for some of the rides and attractions

    Working Conditions:

    • This role willpredominantly bebased outdoors in the park environment

    • Constant exposure to the variable outside temperatures, includinghighheat, cold, direct sun,humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions

    • Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion,highnoise levels, flashing lights, andheavily populated environments
