OVERVIEW:
A Mechanic Technician in a packaging-equipment environment is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining high-speed packing machinery and related mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting ability, and consistent adherence to safety standards.
EXPIERENCE REQUIRED
  • Mechanical and electrical experience in a repair and troubleshooting packing machines, at least 3 years, desirable 5 years.
    • Basic mechanics and tools of the trade.
    • Electrical instrumentation.
    • Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
    • Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
    • Ability to read and analyze machine drawings and specifications
    • Ability to read operating manuals and troubleshooting guides.
    • Knowledge of gages and other indicator systems.
  • PLC and instrumentation experience in packing machines, handling materials systems and utility equipment.
  • Safety experience with OSHA.
  • Pass test established by Provider - Scientific Management, Inc. and or similar company.
  • Needs to have a strong mechanical and electrical background preferably in packaging equipment such as high speed bag fillers for retail and industrial sizes and robotic palletizers.

WORK ENVIROMENT:
  • Work 100% of the time in the production floor.
  • Work conditions requirement are sometimes extreme, requires standing for long periods, climbing working off of ladders scaffolds.
  • Work maybe dusty, dirty, hot, wet conditions, confined spaces, ditches and other uncontrollable places.
  • Must be physically fit to develop the work.
  • Work in cramped or noisy areas.
  • Work requires excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to work additional hours during week, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be responsible, organized, safety awareness and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must have common mechanics tools.
    • Must provide production coverage when maintenance is not scheduled, and must be able to fabricate, machine and weld parts as needed.

EDUCATION:
  • High School Education / or equivalent.
  • Desirable to have a Technical 2 year degree in the field.
