About This Role
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with strong analytical skills who has the ability to leverage SQL as a tool for data analysis, automation, and process improvement. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze accounting processes, validate results, and help scale solutions that reduce manual effort and operational risk.
Duration: through the end of year with opportunity of extension - Fully remote
Rate: $75-85 DOE
What You Will Work On
  • Support accounting process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Analyze accounting data, investigate variances, and validate outputs to support accounting processes
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and improve existing workflows
  • Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of process enhancements and automation solutions
  • Use SQL and reporting tools to query, analyze, and validate accounting data
  • Provide proactive status updates, identify blockers, and independently drive workstreams to completion

What You Will Bring
  • Strong accounting foundation with experience in month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, controls, and audit support
  • Ability to understand and communicate accounting implications to business and finance stakeholders
  • Experience working directly with accounting teams, controllers, and leadership
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues, validate results, and think through end-to-end accounting processes
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Tech / SaaS industry experience is nice to have
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to run, modify, and interpret queries
