Job description

Introduction
Symphony AI is now hiring a Senior Manager, CPG Value & Insights to join our team>
You will be the senior consulting presence embedded in some of our most strategic CPG accounts, working alongside category management, shopper insights, and sales leadership teams to turn loyalty and customer data into decisions that move the business.
What sets the best people in this role apart isn't just CPG fluency or analytical skill, it's the combination of consulting instinct, commercial mindset, and genuine curiosity about the data. You don't build reports, you solve for business opportunities. You understand how a CPG trade spend decisions are made and how retailers operationalize category recommendations.
You will also be a champion for SymphonyAI tools, including the AI-powered capabilities increasingly central to what we deliver. That means helping CPG clients understand what AI-driven insights mean for their business, quantifying ROI in language they use, and making new technology feel like a competitive advantage rather than a black box.
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Embedded Client Consulting
  • Serve as the day-to-day insights partner for your assigned CPG clients, proactively adding value.
  • Build trusted, multi-threaded relationships with VPs, Directors, and Senior Managers across Category Management, Sales, Shopper Insights, and Analytics.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to CPG leadership, someone who challenges assumptions constructively, drives strategic dialogue, and earns a seat at the table.
  • Represent SymphonyAI as a seamless extension of the client's team, not a vendor on the side.
  • Separate signal from noise: identify patterns, connect metrics to causes, and frame clear 'so what' narratives tied to CPG business outcomes.

Book of Business & Commercial Accountability
  • Manage book of business and be accountable to achieving a 100% renewal number on existing CPG clients, along with identifying solution opportunities to enhance CPG success.

  • Work closely with Sales on upsell opportunities.

AI & Tool Advocacy
  • Actively use AI tools in your own day-to-day work for analysis, synthesis, drafting, and problem-solving and bring that hands-on familiarity into client conversations.
  • Help CPG clients understand, interpret, and trust AI-driven insights from SymphonyAI platforms. Bridge the gap between 'the AI said this' and 'here's what you should do about it.'
  • Coach client teams on SymphonyAI tools with a consultative-sales mindset: show - don't tell - why the capabilities matter for their specific business outcomes.
  • Serve as the VOC for AI features and tools back to internal product and delivery teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Retail Insights groups to identify meaningful proactive opportunities for CPG clients
  • Contribute to best practices, training materials, case studies, onboarding and team knowledge-sharing.
