Job description

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Partnership Sales team at Fenway Sports Management serves as a fully integrated sales organization for Fenway Sports Group.  The team is responsible for driving significant revenue, working with FSG's owned and operated properties across the portfolio as well as strategic partners. We accomplish our goals by cultivating relationships with world class brands and providing customized solutions to tell powerful stories through the iconic properties that we work with.

 POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director, Partnership Sales will be responsible for originating and closing high-value, global corporate partnerships across Fenway Sports Group's portfolio, with a primary focus on Liverpool Football Club. The role will be based in FSM's New York office and will have the ability to sell across the FSM portfolio of properties including Boston Common Golf, RFK Racing, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Red Sox, LRMR, Fulwell Entertainment, PGA TOUR, and the Rajasthan Royals.  The individual will be a part of the broader FSM Partnership Sales group across Boston and New York and will work collaboratively across teams.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 based on relevant experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for annual incentive pay along with our comprehensive benefits package.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify new prospective partners for FSG with a primary focus on LFC and building multi-year, global partnerships with Americas headquartered corporations. 
  • Drive significant revenue across all identified properties.
  • Identify prospects in a thoughtful and strategic manner and secure meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with external senior decision makers and internal stakeholders across LFC and FSM.
  • Manage the creation of sales presentations by identifying the needs of brands and providing a best-in-class marketing solution.
  • Regularly track and report on pipeline progression across identified properties.
  • Support the delivery of partner prospects through contractual phases into launch.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the sports, advertising, and media industries.
  • Act as a representative of FSM and FSG by attending industry events, conferences and partner meetings.
  • Willingness to travel to visit prospects in-market, travel to LFC's London Office, Liverpool HQ, and FSG Boston HQ.
CHARACTERISTICS/QUALFICIATIONS:
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • 5-7 years of partnership sales experience.
  • Established network of relationships with key decision makers at brands and agencies.
  • Knowledge and experience in negotiating complex partnerships.
  • A great teammate and excellent at working in and promoting a team culture. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to ideate and build global marketing platforms/solutions for prospective brands.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all internal teams. 
  • Dynamic ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to clearly explain and present problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
