Department Overview
Test Systems Engineering: Designs, builds, and deploys test solutions into our
various global manufacturing sites. These solutions are used to program, tune,
and test the company's product portfolio. This helps ensure that our products are
performing per customer specifications. This process is accomplished by
working closely with our product development engineering and manufacturing
facilities.
Job Description
The Testing Engineer will design, develop and implement test hardware and software for production testing of new products. Evaluate deadlines, goals and develop project schedules.
  • Design, develops, and implement solutions to improve test yields, reduce over all Test time, provide for test capacity increases, minimize downtime, and optimize test/process flows. This includes implementing new processes and technologies, utilizing statistical tools, and developing innovations to existing problems and issues.
  • Analyzes and critiques equipment designs/processes relative to market requirements, manufacturability, costs and technical requirements.
  • Identifies technical and quality problems, determines alternatives and evaluates them to arrive at the most acceptable approach including conformity to specifications, reliability, cost effectiveness, testability and reparability.
  • Identifies need for, assesses and/or develops technical/process specification standards and participates in establishing the procedures to ensure they are followed.
  • Prepares and presents technical reports to influence the decision making process. Provide technical information and participates as a speaker in technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to code programming languages
  • Experience working in a Hardware, or Software environment preferred.
  • Strong RF knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of test systems Hardware and Software architecture preferred.
  • Familiarity with UNIX, C & C++
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision preferred.

Target Base Salary Range: $65,900 - $100,000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • 2 plus years of experience as a Software Engineer, or Hardware Testing Engineer required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
