Qorvo is seeking an experienced RF Hardware/Test Automation Engineer to support RF engineering activities for cellular technologies and other hardware product lines from our portfolio. This role is based in Greensboro, NC and will focus primarily on RF hardware engineering, automated test development, measurement methodologies, and technical support for internal engineering teams and customers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‑on RF test experience, a solid understanding of LTE, 5G, and legacy cellular technologies, and the ability to develop software tools that improve engineering productivity. This position requires someone who can work across hardware, software, applications, and customer‑facing teams to troubleshoot complex RF issues, automate workflows, and help accelerate product evaluation and integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automated RF test systems, measurement tools, and engineering applications used to evaluate Qorvo products.
  • Create desktop and web-based tools for RF data collection, analysis, visualization, reporting, and test automation.
  • Support validation and performance analysis for LTE, 5G, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, and related cellular technologies.
  • Use RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and other industry‑standard test equipment to evaluate and troubleshoot hardware performance.
  • Analyze RF measurement data, identify trends, support root‑cause analysis, and recommend improvements to test methodologies and engineering workflows.
  • Develop AI‑assisted or data-driven tools that improve test automation, anomaly detection, report generation, and engineering productivity.
  • Read and interpret datasheets, schematics, block diagrams, and RF front‑end architecture documentation to support product evaluation and debug activities.
  • Support customers with integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of software drivers and Qorvo components within their systems.
  • Collaborate closely with RF hardware, software, applications, and product engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve test coverage.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear communication and practical engineering support.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience in RF engineering, RF test, hardware development, or a related area.
  • Hands‑on experience with RF measurement equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, or similar tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of LTE and 5G technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot RF hardware, test setups, and system‑level performance issues.
  • Experience developing automated test solutions, engineering tools, or test applications using .NET, C#, VB.NET, Python, C/C++, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets, schematics, block diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams and support technical discussions with customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, or other legacy cellular technologies.
  • Familiarity with RF front‑end architectures, interfaces, and product evaluation methods.
  • Experience using Git, Visual Studio, or similar development tools.
  • Exposure to AI‑assisted tools, machine learning, advanced analytics, or LLM-enabled applications for test automation, RF data analysis, anomaly detection, or reporting.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.
