Job description

Mission Data Engineer (Mid-Grade)

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Engineer (mid-grade) to join a team assisting the 16th Electronic Warfare Squadron (16 EWS) and the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW) at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, data (MD) development, and MD testing across electronic warfare operations.
  • Support EW system programming and reprogramming, coordinate with EW system engineers on programming requirements, prepare validation and verification test plans, and participate in MD configuration control boards.
  • Assist with collection, recording, and post-test analysis of data generated during MD testing.
  • Plan and execute travel, both domestic and international; a U.S. passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a technical or engineering discipline with 3โ€“10 years of engineering experience; actual electronic warfare experience may substitute for the technical degree requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and Windows-based PCs; proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required at start and must be maintained throughout tenure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current active Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Experience in RF integration, electromagnetic spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing.
  • Knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering (not required).
Schedule & Location

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Work location: customer site.

Travel: 10-15% of the time.

Relocation assistance: not available.
