Job description

HE360's space-based and processing capabilities continue to expand rapidly, providing potential solutions to a variety of key USG missions. HE360 is looking for a Principal Solutions Engineer to be the hunter who connects USG end-users and mission needs to HE360's existing and potential capabilities to address them. In this position, you will be the "tip of the spear" for HE360's mission value to the USG, shaping the application of commercial RF capabilities to meet mission needs. This position is entrepreneurial in nature, and requires a high-degree of individual initiative to work within broad mission guidance to achieve objectives.
Location: This position is approximately 75% in an on-site, secure workspace in Herndon, VA.
As the Senior Solutions Engineer, US Government, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Proactively identify the immediate and pressing USG government mission needs that HE360 can address to drive end-user demand for HE360 capabilities.
  • Proactively reach out to individuals in the DoD/IC to investigate their potential use of HE360 capabilities to satisfy key mission requirements.
  • Work with end-users to define and communicate their requirements through appropriate channels to entities involved in the acquisition of commercial RF capabilities.
  • Work with HE360 capability team leads to identify gaps between current capabilities and what is required to address critical mission needs.
  • Using a variety of software tools, generate visual products highlighting existing or potential mission value of HE360 capabilities to support the renewal and growth of existing USG contracts and the potential application of HE360 capabilities to new mission areas.
  • Provide training at multiple classification levels to USG audiences in HE360 capabilities.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute periodic products highlighting key mission capabilities to USG audiences.
  • Work cross functionally with the USG programs team at the HE360 secure office space at least 3 days per week.
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:
  • At least 7 years of experience as a USG analyst or targeter, with a balance of RF, remote sensing, and all-source analysis understanding.
  • BS or MS in engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • Familiarity with the requirement and capabilities documents that drive US government acquisition of overhead RF collection capabilities.
  • Ability to convey HE360 mission value to end-users via the use standard GIS platforms (QGIS, ARCGIS) in conjunction with MS Office tools.
  • Expertise in USG RF use-cases, feeds and databases.
  • Expertise in search, discovery, and incorporation of non-RF datasets such as imagery and OSINT to provide additional context for RF datasets.
  • Deep familiarity with the organizations and individuals who use RF data throughout the US DoD and Intel Community and how to reach them.
  • Expertise in discovery, filtering, and analysis of RF datasets in tools such as FADE/MIST, GALE, and/or THRESHER.
  • Experience in planning and executing on-site and virtual training for audiences of various levels of RF knowledge.
Desirable:
  • Expertise in USG overhead collection system capabilities and limitations.
  • An active network of potential users of HE360 capabilities.
  • Balance of COMEXT and ELINT expertise.
  • Expertise and trusted relationships in federated USG systems for overhead RF requirements.
Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $175,000 annually
